Global electronic music superstar and internationally renowned DJ and producer, Boris Daenen has, in a few short years, built a reputation for consistently delivering the highest calibre music in his instantly recognisable style. Thanks to his relentless work ethic, Daenen is as now as comfortable headlining mega festivals and arenas as he is behind the studio mixing desk. With three successful albums under his belt already, Netsky is currently in the studio in Los Angeles with multi-Grammy winning hitmaker producers Stargate (Rihanna, Jay Z, Coldplay) readying what is set to be his global

breakthrough album for release later this year.

Netsky first made his name with a series of blistering releases on underground imprint Hospital Records, including his first 2 albums; self-titled debut ‘Netsky’, followed by platinum selling ‘2’ which charted at No.1 in Belgium and No.24 in the UK. Following praise and hype from all corners of the globe, and with a slew of A-list artist remixes under his belt including Swedish House Mafia ‘One’, Rusko’s ‘Everyday’, and more recently, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and Jack Ü, these releases plunged Netsky firmly into the limelight, where he has remained ever since.

2016 saw Netsky release his eagerly anticipated third studio album, ‘3’, which reached Number 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart in the USA, No.1 in the official Belgian album chart and topped other iTunes charts the world over. The album featured some amazing collaborations including Emeli Sande, Chromeo, Jauz and Digital Farm Animals amongst others, and in the summer of 2016, alongside headline festival performances at Reading & Leeds and Glastonbury, Daenen re-released hit single ‘Rio’ with the addition of a feature from Grammy award winner Macklemore. ‘Rio Remix’ was widely dubbed the unofficial anthem of the Olympics and was the perfect soundtrack to accompany Netsky’s trip to Brazil for Rio2016 in his capacity as official artist ambassador for the Belgian Olympic Team.

Since debuting his award winning live show at London’s Brixton Academy back in 2012, it has continued to grow and has seen the band play at some of the world’s biggest festivals, from Coachella to Glastonbury, Ultra Music Festival to Reading & Leeds, Rock Werchter and Pukkel pop. Netsky played his biggest live headline show to date in 2017 at the 18,000 capacity Sportpaleis in his hometown of Antwerp, a show which was also the first ever show to be live streamed in 360• to fans around the world with PlayStation VR. Amongst a packed summer festival schedule of both live and DJ shows last year, Boris also found time to launch his ‘Netsky And Friends’ brand, curating and hosting his own stage at Tomorrowland Festival, then taking the brand to shows in London and Amsterdam during the annual ADE Festival.

Being so prolific in the music industry with success in writing, production and touring at such a young age, has won Netsky, as well as a legion of fans, a number of varied accolades; he was the youngest ever recipient to be awarded the highly prestigious Flemish Culture Award for Music, presented by the Belgian Minister for Culture, then weeks later he was voted the highest ranking Drum & Bass DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s poll. When he is not touring, Daenen now splits his time between LA and Belgium and has been working with a plethora of the world’s best songwriters and artists finishing his eagerly anticipated fourth album, with such a momentus few years under his belt, and new music ready to drop, it’s safe to say that for Boris Daenen, the Net-Sky’s the limit!
